Working Shares/ Garden Guardians
Full for the 2012 season
Working shares work in the farms -- transforming yards into beautiful edible gardens, planting, weeding and providing general care-taking of one of the yards as their own. In exchange for your work, you will receive a weekly share of food, education on urban food production, beekeeping, composting, and all the workings of a an urban, closed-loop farm. Most importantly you will have a ton of fun doing it. This is a 5-10 hour a week commitment between the middle of April to the middle of October. Please contact Heather at heather@urbiculturecommunityfarms.org to learn how to become a Garden Guardian.

The intern will provide support to high school students and elementary students, help maintain the farm at the school, teaching students about composting, the importance of healthy food and more.
The other position will be helping with the day to day activities of the multi-plot farm. This intern will be responsible for helping with harvesting, weeding, planting, design planning, recording keeping and more.
We need a commitment of 15-20 hours a week for each of the interns.
